Lu Yuan - Don Ramiro

Born in China, young tenor Lu Yuan was admitted in 2001 at the Conservatory of Music in Tianjin, where he studied piano and voice. Lu Yuan moved to Italy in 2010 and is currently furthering his studies with Mirella Freni at the “CUBEC - Centro Universale del Bel Canto”. Mr. Yuan won several international competitions, such as: “Golden Bell Awards” in China; “Neue Stimmen” in Germany; “Bellini” and “Magda Olivero” in Italy. Mr. Yuan made his Italian debut as Cavalier Belfiore in Il viaggio a Reims at the Rossini Opera Festival; he starred in the gala concert in honor of Luciano Pavarotti in Modena and he sang Don Ramiro in La Cenerentola in Beijing and in Irun as well as Rossini’s Petite Messe Solennelle in Rome. He participated as cover of Juan Diego Florez in Le comte Ory at the Metropolitan Opera in New York. In July he took part in a gala concert at the Teatro La Fenice in Venice, and he sang Carmina Burana at the Teatro Sociale in Como, for the 200th anniversary of the Theatre. Mr Yuan had lately sung Fernando in Il Furioso all’Isola di San Domingo at the Bergamo Musica Festival, and in Rovigo.  Among his future plans, it is worth mentioning revival of Il Furioso all’Isola di San Domingo in Ravenna.

Clemente Antonio Daliotti

Clemente Antonio Daliotti - Dandini

Young and promising Italian baritone, Clemente Antonio Daliotti graduated in vocal studies at the “G. Martucci” Conservatory in Salerno. Then he attended the Rossini Academy in Pesaro under the guidance of Alberto Zedda, and the Academy of Santa Cecilia in Rome, studying with Renata Scotto, Cesare Scarton and Anna Vandi. A winner of the International Contest Tito Schipa in Lecce (2012), he performed L’Elisir d’amore (Dulcamara) at the Politeama Greco in Lecce. After his debut as Fiorello in Il Barbiere di Siviglia at the Teatro Petruzzelli in Bari (under Lorin Maazel) and as Haly in L’Italiana in Algeri at the Teatro Comunale in Bologna Clemente Antonio Daliotti starred in the first modern revival of Spontini’s La Fuga in Maschera, at the Teatro Pergolesi Spontini in Jesi (under Corrado Rovaris) and then at the Teatro San Carlo in Naples. Clemente Antonio Daliotti also sang Pallante in Handel’s Agrippina at the Festival International Musique Baroque de Beaune under Federico Maria Sardelli, then he performed Schaunard in La Bohème in St. Margarethen and Guglielmo in Così fan Tutte in Sassari. Among his future plans, it is worth mentioning Il Campiello at the Teatro Musicale Fiorentino in Florence.

Umberto Chiummo

Umberto Chiummo - Don Magnifico

After winning the "A. Belli” Competition in Spoleto, Umberto Chiummo made his debut in Le Nozze di Figaro, staged by Gigi Proietti. Much appreciated also for his qualities as an actor, he performs in major opera houses and festivals in Italy and abroad, collaborating with conductors such as Ivor Bolton, Bruno Campanella, Myung-Whun Chung, Zubin Mehta, Riccardo Muti and Wolfgang Sawallisch. Recent engagements include: La Calisto at the Royal Opera House Covent Garden, Agrippina at the Teatro Real in Madrid and in Antwerp, Giulio Cesare alongside Cecilia Bartoli with William Christie and Les Arts Florissants in Paris; Le Nozze di Figaro at the Teatro La Fenice in Venice and in Munich; La Cenerentola in Strasbourg then on tour in Mulhouse and Colmar; Mozart’s Great Mass in C minor with the Orchestra Sinfonica Nazionale della RAI under Ivor Bolton. He has recorded Rodelinda, Ariodante, Don Giovanni (Telarc), I Capuleti e i Montecchi (BMG) with Roberto Abbado, Werther (BMG) under the baton of Vladimir Jurowski. Future plans: Die Schöpfung in Belfast; Le Nozze di Figaro in Munich; La belle Hélène in Antwerp; Rodelinda in Madrid.

Fabrizio Beggi

Fabrizio Beggi - Alidoro

Mr. Beggi started his career in 2011 attending Ensemble Opera Studio at the Teatro Carlo Felice in Genoa, where he made his debut in Donizetti’s Il Campanello (Don Annibale Pistacchio) then he performed in Puccini’s Gianni Schicchi (Marco e Maestro Spinelloccio) besides Juan Pons; in the world premiere of Oz on the road (Zio Henry); and in Roméo et Juliette (Le Duc). Fabrizio Beggi won the Toti Dal Monte prize in 2012, after that he made his debut in Cimarosa's Matrimonio Segreto in Treviso then on tour in Ferrara and Rovigo. Mr. Beggi recently sang Rigoletto in Savona and Battistelli’s Matrimonio all’Italiana at the Teatro Comunale in Bologna. Mr Beggi continues the collaboration with the Teatro Regio in Turin, where in the past season he starred in Andrea ChénierDon Carlo and more recently in Simon Boccanegra, Rigoletto and lately in Un Ballo in Maschera on tour in Japan. Future plans include: Un Ballo in Maschera at the Teatro Comunale in Bologna and Gianni Schicchi at the Teatro Regio in Turin.

Lorenzo Regazzo

Lorenzo Regazzo - Director

As a renowned interpreter of Mozart and Rossini, acclaimed in the “bel canto” and “coloratura” repertoire Lorenzo Regazzo will make his debut as director  in Rossini’ masterpiece. Mr. Regazzo, particularly appreciated for his staged quality he has been a regular guest at the Salzburg Festival and at the Rossini Opera Festival in Pesaro. He collaborated with such important conductors as Simon Rattle, Riccardo Muti, Lorin Maazel, Colin Davis, Claudio Abbado, Riccardo Chailly, Daniele Gatti, Nikolaus Harnonkourt, Jesús López-Cobos and Marcello Viotti. Lorenzo Regazzo is also a world class Baroque singer noted for expertise in Vivaldi and Handel, a repertoire he had performed and recorded with such Baroque music specialists as René Jacobs, Emmanuelle Haïm, Rinaldo Alessandrini, Jean-Christophe Spinosi, Claudio Scimone, and Andrea Marcon. Future plans include: L’Italiana in Algeri (Théâtre des Champs Elysées) in Paris; La Cenerentola in Vienna (Wiener Staatsoper); Don Giovanni at the New National Theatre in Tokyo; Don Pasquale in Barcelona; Così fan tutte in Vicenza. Mr. Regazzo will also direct Così fan tutte at the Teatro Olimpico in Vicenza.
